There are 7 images in this galleryThe Northeast Georgia Toys For Tots program, run by the US Marine Corps Reserves, has partnered locally with the Northeast Georgia Jaycees and Two Men and a Truck. The program relies on community members donations so that less fortunate children may experience a more joyous holiday.
Last year, the Athens Area Northeast Georgia Toys For Tots program was able to give hope by providing gifts to over 5,000 needy children in their 5 county area of responsibility in Northeast Georgia.
“We are excited that Toys “R” Us, a long time National Sponsor of Toys For Tots, has once again agreed to host our annual kickoff event at their Athens store. We’re looking forward to a great turnout. Our goal for the day is to fill a box truck full of toys,” said Chief Warrant Officer 4, Ray Fairman, Northeast Georgia Toys For Tots Coordinator for Clarke, Greene, Madison, Oconee and Oglethorpe Counties.
