Membership

The North Georgia Jaycees were founded in 2008 as a civic organization aimed to improve the Athens community and the surrounding north Georgia area. It is our aim to foster community involvement, develop young leadership and promote free enterprise. We seek to accomplish our objectives through networking, fellowship and community service projects.

The Jaycees are a great asset to young professional seeking to launch their career. The networking benefits alone provide access to an all star cast of local businessmen.

The purpose of the North Georgia Jaycees is to determine community needs and provide solutions by planning and facilitating community service projects. While serving the community, our members receive hands-on experience, which enhances their personal growth and the development of valuable leadership skills.

In order to join the North Georgia Jaycees you must be sponsored by an active member in good standing, be between the ages of 21 and 40, and be registered to vote. Once you are recommended you are encouraged to attend meetings in order to discover if making a commitment is right for you. Once you have chosen to apply for membership we ask that you fill out the online application. After your application is received it will be reviewed by our membership board and taken into consideration. Upon acceptance of your application your responsibilities will include quarterly membership dues of $125.00 and active participation with Jaycees projects, luncheons and socials. Dues may be considered tax deductible and can be billed directly to you or your employer.
